Located 148 km. from the city of Arequipa, the fabulous Colca Valley should be a must for history and nature lovers visiting Peru.

The most amazing landscapes start in the town of Chivay and go along for around 60 km all the way to a “mirador” (observation point) called La Cruz del Condor. From here the valley narrows down giving berth to the famous Colca Canyon, one of the deepest in the world (its depth has been calculated at about 3,680 meters, twice the depth of the Colorado Canyon).
